Shippng from Portland, OR

Kind of odd but I need to ship my C2 Cab from Portland to Los Angeles in the next few days. We are just about finished with our PCH drive from LA and are thinking about just shipping the car home. Anyone recommend a shipping company they've used? I'm getting outrageous quotes right now from brokers only and want to cut the BS out. Thanks.

Any rennlisters in the Portland area??

Franklyk, for such a relatively short drive, I'd just drive it myself. I think you could make it in one very long day (probably 15 hours driving).
Straight shot down I-5 - and the drive through the San Juaquin valley is fun (although it smells like manure for most of the trip).

Passport Transport shipped my 993TT from CA to CO. Excellent! Could track it online. Can call through FedEx Transport

Hoghaulers in McMinnville Oregon shipped my car from DFW to Seattle in an enclosed trailer for a pretty reasonable price. Call them and get a quote as a PDX to LAX haul should not be very much.

portland to la

check with the portland auto auction.
there are car haulers hanging around the auction looking for jobs on every auction day.
the trucks are constantly running up and down I5.

freeman motors in portland buys a lot of cars at the southern california auctions.
they get regular deliveries.
might be another option to catch a ride back on one of their trucks.

good luck.

IF you happen to end up driving, understand how much road construction is going on in the southern part of the Central Valley. Have had friends grumbling in the past couple of weeks about 1-1.5 hours added to what's usually a ~4 hour Bay Area-to-Grapevine part of the I-5 trip.
