QUESTION. I (wife and I) am headed for Europe in September for 3 weeks. The Porsche factory tour, Porsche museum as well as Mercedes and BMW tours are a must do. How soon and how do I make reservations to see these and how do I do it?
Chuck,

Porsche AG offers free factory tours daily, which include visits to the manufacturing plant and museum in Zuffenhausen, and last approximately two hours. Please send an e-mail to werksfuehrungen@porsche.de for an appointment.

Awesome!

Freddy and Ralph were awesome and I can't say enough about the Rent4Ring guys. They made the whole experience pleasant and very easy. Not to mention it was a TON of fun.

Indeed. I don't think any German would call it the Mutterland. It's even in the national anthemn:
"Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit für das deutsche Vaterland"

Just looking through this thread again, a few things Paddy ---

1) your girlfriend or wife looks great... can I say that?
2) while you have the smile of a 5-yr old Christmas morning, I am trying to figure out if her smile is like the one my wife would have if I was dragging her through the Porsche museum. Something along the lines of "I am plastering this smile because I have to, but for geez sake I am so sick of looking at all these cars, we have been here 3 hours, how long are we going to be here, who gives a **** about all this, etc. "

Maybe I am just jealous that you found a looker WITH Porsche interest. I must say, mine is a a looker, and she definitely indulges the habit, but any such smile for her would definitely be forged!

Thanks for the BMW pics. When I was little, my parents had a 2002 in just that color. Still my mom's favorite car.

Love the Calder 3.0 CSL. The Stella is cool, too, but not as wild-looking.
