I think we all agree your price is low. You seem to be of the "no hassle, quick sale, going to a good home" mindset... understandable...up to you if you want to do that. Just be sure don't sell it to a "dealer" who will mark it up and flip it a week later. Hate to see that happen.
Sounds like you'd have a few takers here on RL. GLWS

If you're serious about selling in the mid 30's, i have 35k in hand. Just let me know, would love for this to be my daily driver...

You have priced it too low, but if you need to sell it, so be it. I have closely followed the market, and think that FMV on this car is low $40s. $40K would be a great bargain for a buyer, considering the clutch work, sport seats, color, and mileage (<50K). Personally, I wouldn't let this go for under $39,999 :-)

Is there some unstated question asked by the OP as to what is the right price to sell it for? I did not see it. Or are some of you concerned about the sale devaluing your 993.

I think it is really terrific that someone is interested in a hassle free transaction for a good value to a rennlist member. Kudos to a thoughtful Rennlister.

+1 to not selling it to a dealer. Please don't. And the same goes to some who are undeclared flippers. They will just try mark it up and take advantage of someone here who might be very interested.

If this is a Canadian car originally, why does it have a US speedometer and odometer?

My offer still stands at 35k, as per the OP's opening post. if it makes others feel better, i will tell people i bought it for 50k.... and we can delete this thread after the sale

i think 35k is a good price in this economy and will move quickly , 40k and it might sit for a few weeks or longer.....

The Speedo and ODO get changed when the car is brought into the country, the car is stamped and it can be licensed and insured in the US.

Thanks for seeing that I am not trying to make ALLl the money on the car. I don't "need" the money and I don't "need" to get rid of it. Its sitting, more than its moving, it can go to a new owner.

I'm taking into consideration the plugs, wires, distributer cap, rotor, fresh oil change, and whatever else the next owner will want to do to it. I could ask $40K and make another 1000, but I would rather do something I would like an owner to do for me...than to just get another 1000.

Some of you can understand this, others may not.

Reading the OP's post and the title of the thread, it implies that he's looking for guidance. And of course all of us on this forum want to see prices go up.

Hell, if someone offered me $35K for my jalopy I would definitely think about it. But anything under $40 is a total giveaway for the car in question.

I believe that many of our wives read the same playbook regarding buying these cars. "the car is 15 years old and you want to pay $XXXXX"!!! . Which usually follows with "just go out and buy a new one"!

I think mid to upper $30s is a fair price. Technically this is a gray market car (although Canadian gray market is not that bad) and it does have some impact on price. If this had a black interior, I would be getting my PPI arranged now!

Again - kudos to the seller who is being very fair and reasonable.

Wow, I would love to get this car. GLWS and I agree it sounds like a no nonsense deal for a car priced to sell. Anyone looking for a triple black cab?

i think the only blemish (if you can even call it that) is the fact its an non-US car. maybe that's why the seller marked it $35-40K? seems reasonable. i'm just curious what the title history would read; would the carfax report start from 96 or 99 when it was imported to the states?

Thanks for the reply...I've never heard of them changing the speedo/odo...thank goodness we don't have to do that here! Best of luck with your sale...
