from under....push them carefully toward the wind shield to compress the clip, then slowly work them up. you have to twist them slightly to get the hose and attached clamp through.
I removed all the bumperettes, lights, plates, etc what was easy to do for a more thorough cleaning and then polish. no grit left in the edges and less to mask off. Robert does not do this normally, I choose to do this myself.
in regards to the cost....is was a quite a few hundred....but WELL worth it. the results are amazing. each car is unique in its requirements to correct, depends on level of maring and paint damage or dirt buildup, so Id rather not post my actual cost. That would not be fair to Robert.

Car looks FANTASTIC Mark. Great stance, and I love the Technology (twists) wheels. Midnight Blue is a very difficult colour to keep up. Jast as hard, if not more so, than black IMO (and I have one of each)

Awesome job!
A couple years ago I too had a very extensive paint correction (and seat refurbishment) done to my Ocean Blue C2S which took a similar number of hours over the course of 6 days. It was chonicled, step by step, by the detailer-- Rick Rack-- on Autopia here:

Well worth it. Paint remains like new.

Did he use the Swissvax to wax the car? Just checked out the prices on his site for that stuff... whoa, they are very proud of that stuff. Regardless though, that paint really does look amazing.

not sure. he used many different correction chemicals and polishes, then wax and finishing coatings.

Very nice. I give you credit for shelling out the $ to do this right. Not everyone has the skills or desire to do it himself; I appreciate those who DIY and those who sacrifice currency for their passions, both are car guys in my book.

thanks. I knew the paint was too far gone for my skills/tool set at the moment. so I decided this was well worth it. and I just simply dont have the time for it either. I am know trying to learn more about it after this "hands on experience" and some tips from Robert. I just bought a foaming gun and some new soap. A few months ago I got a girots garage orbital polisher and have been practicing on my Ford pickup. But now the work has been done and Im back to a very good start point that is much easier to maintain and keep clean.
