Default Question for you Bay Area guys regarding track time at Laguna Seca

I'm going to have a week of family vacation time in the bay area the week of July 25 and wanted to see if I could get some track time at LS while I'm there. Skip Barber has a HP driving school on the 28th but the price ($2100) seems rather steep. What other options are there that might not be so well advertised for an arrive and drive experience?

TIA
Chak

If you're going to be a bit further north check out Infineon Raceway - aka Sears Point. It's about 30 minutes north of SF and an easy drive (except maybe at rush hour). Both Russell and Audi have schools there. An R8 would be fun for the day.

Thanks. I'll look into Sears Point too.

I was trying to find you a track day, but summer is notoriously difficult at LS and I don't see it on anyone's schedule. Looks like your options for Bay Area track time that week are going to be Skippy or Thunderhill with the TEAM miata group. I'm sure they could hook you up with a spec miata and you could even get some instruction from Ken (race911). It's not Laguna though.

Well, you couldn't have picked a worse week for the "big" tracks as Moto GP is at Laguna the weekend prior to your arrival, and NHRA is at Sears the following weekend. No track rentals to clubs on the shoulders of those dates.........

As Greg mentioned, TEAM will have a day on Friday the 29th.

Thanks for the info guys.
Week wasn't my choice but I was hoping to make lemonade out of lemons...
I'll check out TEAM.

TEAM is run by Bonnie (Bonster) who is a moderator around here somewhere. She has a 993. I'm sure she can tell you who can provide a car.
