Bert-- Know this 993?
I went to a "Maryland Rennlist Meet and Drive" in my area a month or so ago and a gentleman that usually shows up in a different car brought a 993 GT2.
It's not something I can remember ever seeing in the US before - a 993 GT2 (Clone). He had just gotten it and had temp tags on it. Had the sunroof taken out and the roof repaired as if it was never there. It was hard to take your eyes off of.

From driving point of view the best thing to say is the car requires attention! The power and delivery are not an issue at all as I am used to high power RWD cars but you have work with the turbos to make good progress, anticipate the boost, and use the torque. We are investigating the suspension as it is fairly wayward on bumpy back roads especially under braking and over bumps and the dampers or springs will need some further inspection to see where they are. The steering and turn in are amazing and the challenge of driving a car like this is exactly what I love about it, I find modern cars too good for road use and not interactive enough.

Once in a while Auto Salon Singen would have one.
http://www.autosalon-singen.de/en/startmix.html
Point mouse at OUR VEHICLES. Click PICTURE ARCHIVE. Then click Porsche crest.
Scroll down the list and find 993 GT2. Click and wait 10 seconds for it to load images.
A lot of pictures.

Steve-- Greatly appreciate the pix We have a small country when it comes to gorgeous black GT2-looks here in the US.
Thanks to this forum, I've been lucky to hang out with two RLers crazy enough to build such beautiful black beasts.
Bert-- I might make it to the left & right coasts over the next 6 months. Hopefully we can meet up again.
I've said it before ... WOW !
