After I put my Focal components in the front and my Rod Birch subwoofers in the back I disconnected my back deck speakers.

It seems to me that finding the right fitting speakers for the back and taking the time to put them in isn't worth it. Has anyone noticed a real difference in "fullness" of sound with good speakers front and back vs. front-only?

I just put this here for future reference. In a cabrio, the small speakers do not make any difference if the front system is a good one. I would rather say the sound gets worse. might be different for the coupe but I doubt it.

Are the rears hard to get out? Any tips?

Most posts are interested in improving the sound of the stock speakers, but some want to keep the OE look. I was struggling with this decision. My front speakers had disintegrated so I had to do something. The front speakers are a non-standard size and there are a lot of good work arounds. Still, I'd prefer not to cut anything or mess with silicone. Then I thought, "what if I could just get another OE speaker to last another 18 years with mediocre sound?"
I simply called my local dealer and the original speakers are still available! Here are the part numbers:

Front 99364550600
Rear 99364550500

Of course they will also disintegrate over time. I’ll deal with it again in 2030 . . .

Rear speakers are very easy to take out; if you have wifi option 4 small screws hold the rear shelf in place - pull self out and speaker screws are underneath.

Non hifi is even easier - no need to remove shelf - just remove speaker cover.
