lubed the spoiler motor gears, modded and lubed the door detent, moved the pass seat rails back (as we're not 4' tall) and took it for a ride- then it started raining!! And it didn't melt !! Now the kid is going to citrus wash and start the polish and wax ritual. The joys of being a motorhead...

Great cars, great people. The Trinkles are exemplary of both.

Well done getting their 993 and a hug from Miss Croatia of Los Angeles

Very nice! But, I'm sad that you didn't drive her home. There is NOTHING like a road trip to bond with a new (to you) Porsche. An adventure you would never forget.

Enjoy.

Checked out SKL2's new 993 this PM. Great car except for the fact someone installed a 912 motor in it.

Hey J ~ Thank you. We think a lot of you too. The same goes for you Patrick. You guys are too kind.
As for the 993: They didn't get OUR 993, they got the 993 from a friend in PCA. We just happened to know the people, the car, and the Mechanic who worked on the car and then also did the PPI, that's all. We currently don't have a 993 () and won't until at least the Street Rod sells and maybe the Tribute 911 too.

I thought I was the lucky one to get a hug from two handsome men that were NOT my husband!

Stu ~ I really want to see the picture of you and your Dad with the 356. I think it is great that you got to do the same thing with your son. Think about it? How often does history repeat itself like that? I'd bet not often.

OMG!!! That line just made me fall off my chair I was laughing so hard. I bet you really HAD to do that ASAP. Carolyn stands to my bust, if that. She really is a true petite southern belle. There was no need for the seat to go back at all before a tall(er) person bought it. OH MY!!!

I agree...we had ever intention of doing that. When I got my first pcar, we flew out to NC and drove it 1200 miles home and it was great. This time around, we had to get this and my Dad's new GT3...so we decided to just tailer it as getting to Little Rock from Des Moines by air was ridiculous, leading us to consider a charter flight but then we just settled on going there and back with the rig in one day.

In 2 weeks, we fly to TN and drive his GT3 home...so that will be our fix

History has repeated itself several times now!

Andy, your mod list is very similar to what I plan on doing. Ill probably go with the Bilstein/M030 setup though, and doubt Ill do much to the mufflers as my Cayman is now catless and has an AWE setup on it - needless to say it will be my "loud" one Your car looks just about perfectly setup.
