e3photo. What is involved to route the a/c lines like you have done??? Is it a big job? Makes for a tidier engine bay for sure...

Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the kind words and interest. I had a crazy busy day, and several requests for pictures. I managed to shoot a few more this evening, and will post them up later after I have had a chance to answer e-mails.

Thanks,
Emerald

Wish I need another one! I too have seen this car many times at our local meets and took a close look at it last weekend. Great deal for the money! Emerald- look forward to hearing more about your projects!

Thanks Brendan,

It is always fun seeing how much attention a car with 108K mile can get. 993s are wonderful cars.

I'll keep you posted as my "project"progresses.

Thanks again,
Emerald

Oops, almost forgot to reply. It is a relatively easy job, assuming your a/c is not charged. You just take the old lines off, and replace with the newer style. You can probably find someone who has removed the a/c for a track car.
Take out the right rear fender liner, disconnect the old line, then snake in the new one and attach. Attach at the compressor and have it charged.

It does make for a bit neater engine bay.

Thanks Chuck,

The wheels are actually 17", but you were right about everything else.

I sure hope honest opinions are still cool.

I ordered a new set of tires for the front, as they were in need of replacement soon. She should be ready for a carefree season of enjoyment.

Hey Brendan,

I took the clay bar to her, and she is sweet looking. She gets new tires on Wednesday, and will be ready. She looks so good, I may keep her close to the garage though, and bring out her step sister aka, my new project.

Thanks again,
Emerald

Thanks for all the interest. It is good to see the old girl still gets the looks.
I could not have asked for a better outcome. The new owner had a PPI done by Wicky at Renntag, and there were some issues found. We came to an agreement, and Wicky will fix everything before the new owner picks it up. I am sure she will bring years of enjoyment. The buyer was great to deal with, and that kept it enjoyable.

Well I guess I'll have to change my avatar again.

Emerald/e3Photo. Congrats on the sale. It looked like a nice one.

Another lesson on the importance of a PPI. Even the most sincere and knowledgeable seller may not know all that might be needed and a PPI provides a foundation for a good transaction. Afterall, these cars are getting up there in years.

Glad it went smoothly.

Mark
