Cannot open door with key

Just seems odd for both sides to suffer the same type of failure. Not to be an a$$, but turning the key the correct direction?
If still no go, good luck! Hopefully the battery will TCO.

Passenger door was one of the earlier suggestions, but the key would not actuate that lock either; that's why we suspect the car battery, or ground cable.
This is a good puzzle, hope to hear back from him soon.

Sorry gentlemen,
Sheesh, this is worse than a soap opera I was travelling over the last week and just got back, but picked up a new battery (Optima) on my way home from the airport. And........
No luck. Same condition as before. Both doors remain locked with handles freely moving (i.e. not engaging). Next step - professional locksmith help, and I'll keep you posted. The worst is that it is sunny and I'm Porscheless...will use the Ducati to tie me over.
Anyway, once I'm in, (if ever), I promise to take get to the bottom of this and will document the solution with pictures. Hopefully this will put to rest all questions about 993 lock-out situations.
I hope this is not similar to those Safes with a glass panel in the door that once cracked it locks the safe forever LOL
