1996 Factory Litronic_ Bosch Igniter needed
Dear Forum Members,
I am a newbie to the 993tt world(but not to Porsches)and have been lurking on the board for a few weeks brushing up on my 993 knowledge.
I recently purchased a 993tt and one of the factory Litronic lights won't ignite and I switched the Bosch ignitor from side to side and the problem followed.
So the million dollar question is how can i procure jus tthat Bosch part? I called LAPD and they won't sell jus tthat part nor do they have it or can get it.
A)Does anyone have a 96 litronic headlight assy(that works) tha ttey are willing to sell? It doesn't matter to me if it is a left or a right one as I'mjust going ot take out the funcitoning Ignitor.
B)Any ideas how to source this part as I am not excited about spending 1K on a new headlight assy(Sunset prices).
Thanks,
Chad

Tried there to no avail. I guess the earler 993 style litronics igniter are extremely hard to come buy. the 987/996 ones are easy.
Thank you for the idea though...evey input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks BLT4SPD...unfortunately I don't need the ballast I need the Igniters....they are located in the housing behind the lowbeam. The ballasts are actually fairly easy to come by. The Igniter is tough because it can't be bought by itself...they force you to buy the whole headlight assy.
Thank you again for trying however as everyones help is much appreciated.
