The 993 and a DC-3

Great photos. I just saw a video clip about Buffalo Airline in the NW Terrarotries. They have the last two DC-3s in daily service. Very cool that a plane that old still flies relabily.
I have a friend that did a historical jump from one a few years ago. We normally exit the aircraft standing up right. But in the DC3 the door is too short, so they had a squat to exit. Otherwise, it was a good jump 140 knot sound good for an easy exit.

i've spent a lot of time in DAC-3s in the early 80's and had the good fortune of getting out of this one before it burned to the ground.
it threw a blade on the prop, resulting in serious imbalance condition = damaged engine mounting = damaged fuel line = FIRE

scroll forward to about 3:50 if you don't want to watch the entire viddy.
Even though 3s are slow to altitude, nothing sounded better on the ride up.
