Just got the pliobond and did this repair. The advice about using the cardboard was invaluable.

Beautiful. That looks really clean. Mine is pretty clean as well...but not as clean as that. Once it dries I will have to exacto away any excess, but it already looks a lot better. I will let it dry overnight before taking out the cardboard.

OK, took out the cardboard this morning. Much improved. But there is still yellow-ish residue from the old glue. The sound pad must have 'shrunk' a bit over the years. What can I do to remove the excess old glue?
