Turbo S wing weight?

Random question but I wonder if anyone has a reasonably close estimate as to what the Turbo S rear wing weights...I have one and it's HEAVY...doesn't even stay up with brand new turbo decklid shocks.

I am thinking it has to be 40+ pounds but that's just a guess.

Thanks!

Don't think it's quite 40lbs. My shocks hold it up just fine. I think it's about the same weight as the RS, or TT tail.

We happen to have a factory 993 turbo wing here and after zeroing the scale found it weighs exactly 21 lbs, according to Pioneer Porsche parts dept. the Turbo S wing weighs 33lbs.

Cheers,
Team GT3 Tek

What I'd do,

Call Getty Design and ask them for the weight of their Turbo S wing. Have you actually weighed the wing, or does it just seem heavy?

Is it a Porsche part with a Porsche Part #?

When you are depressed and miserable over the weight, perhaps you should sell it to me????

Alright GT3Tek! Thanks for the official data  33 lbs sounds about right...interesting that the turbo wing is so much lighter.

-But not NEARLY as attractive IMO.

Turbo tail looks like it is melting.

I think the deck shocks on mine are original, as I have every receipt from Day One for the car and I've not changed them...........lid stays up just fine. Even with the A/C gauges attached to the latch a couple of days ago.

Hmm...well maybe I got some bad shocks when I replaced them. It was one of the first things I did on the car and even double checked that the part number was right.
