Default Clutch not releasing fully

Where should I start with this? It's minor but I notice when I have been driving for a while my gears are harder to disengage and when coming to a stop if I press the clutch all the way to the floor and give it some gas the car will accelerate slightly.
I had the clutch flushed and that was good for a while but it came back. What should I try next? Does it sound like I am on the right track or should I consider the trans. Thanks.

Even though you had it bled, by your description, it just seems to me that you've got a failing clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder, not transmission problems.

Hopefully it's the hydraulics as NC mentions. I'd troubleshoot this these first. If not, if could be a faulty pressure plate or clutch disk which entails transmission removal.

Cheers,
Joe

Clean, adjust & lube the pedal. You will have to remove the wood floor board. There is a return spring.

There are lots of threads like this you might want to check out. I had a similar problem with my clutch. I had difficulty pulling the car out of gear when decelerating (clutch pedal depressed). I was told that the transmission splines were dirty/rusty which I did not believe. The slave was changed with little improvement. I then changed the clutch (which was not worn out) and cleaned the splines and the problem was solved. However, you may want to check/change the easy things first which is a new hydraulic slave cylinder ($100 and 1 hour labor) plus flushing of hydraulics.

We're seeing more of this as time goes on -- just about 10 times out of 10, its dirty input shaft splines that is the culprit.

I will try some of these methods starting with lube on the pedals and working my way up ( or down the money pit ) where are the input splines? Do I even want to know?

Its unlikely to have anything to do with the pedals but what the heck. The transaxle has to be removed to clean the input splines. Its the same amount of work/same job as replacing the clutch.
