That's the best quote of the bunch. A wife that is pregnant, has a 2 year old and tells her husband to go for it?? WOW!!!

That there is the funniest piece of self-delusional thinking I've heard of in a long time! Welcome to Rennlist, and congrats on the beautiful car, understanding wife and living the dream!

Looks like a classic! You picked a good one!

Forget about putting a infant seat in the back, I have not been able to find one. The kids should fit back their till their early teens.

If you get a good car, they are not expensive to run, really tires have been my biggest cost. Well, & goodies for the car, but that is all on me!

Nice job David!

Looking forward to meeting you locally this summer. Maybe through a PCA Rennsport event?

Best,

Matt

Great story, about the same for me, had the 1986 Targa for sale since a while, one lost mind called and offered me 23000.00 (mid-october 2008). At that time we're still at the hospital for the birth of our daughter. With my 2 sons, we are searching the Internet for the 993 we had seen in Boston in our last vacations. I finaly bought the 993 a week later. It was 2 years ago, my wife often take the car with our 3 children, she even catched a ticket for speeding 141km/h in a zone of 100........
Hope you'll have fun with your, it's a lovely one, nice color combo.

Let me begin by introducing myself... my name is David and I've wanted a Porsche since I was 6 years old.
I love reading stories like that, because they remind me of my recent 1st 993 purchase as well.

There is nothing like a dream come true.

Congratulations on your find and purchase...I know exactly how you feel.

Now all you have to do is raise the ride height for those Montreal roads...I'd know, I grew up there.

Congrats. I was sitting here dreaming about GT3 RSs and your post made me remember that I too am driving my dream car. Enjoy in good health. As for having small kids and a 993, I find that my almost 3 year old prefers to ride in the 993 since she can see out the window and is much closer to mommy and daddy than in the M3.
