New Addition to my Porsche Family
I would like to introduce everyone to my latest Porsche acquisition. It's a 1988 911 Cabriolet with 88,000 miles. Unfortunately this car came to me at a heavy price. It belonged to my brother in law who passed away from a rare form of cancer at the age of 50. It was his wish that this car would go to me. The car is currently at my independent Porsche repair guy for some mechanical and cosmetic TLC. My brother in law wasn't as **** as I am with his cars so there is a fair amount of cleaning and refurbishing to be done. I will most likely be at Hershey now that I have 2 Porsches to buy for! I do have the original Fuchs which will be going back on the car.
FYI He had a 2003 Toyota Forerunner SR5 with 108500 miles on it which is currently for sale, $11,500 OBO. PM me if interested.

You bro-in-law sounds like a nice guy. He must have know you'd really appreciate the car.
Nice little story - I think I'll pass on my 911 when the time comes as well. Just need to see who deserves it more.
Regards
Ken

So sad; 50 is way to young to pass. My hat is off to your brother in law. He made his wishes known prior to his death. I have made it known that if I die before my brother, he shall get the 993tt.
Perhaps it is my age (57 next month) but I am seeing a lot of people I know passing away. In the last month two died in their 40s. To anyone reading this post, your death is imminent. Plan for it. I highly recommend a living trust. It will save your loved ones additional grief if you have one of these.
I apologize for getting off topic.

Nice addition- it will look perfect on the Fuchs. Sorry for your loss, but I've always thought taking care of someone's car for them after they pass is a cool way to keep their spirit alive. My will leaves my 993 to my brother, who is also a car guy.

Sorry for your loss, best wishes to your family.
Those wheels could not be off that car fast enough for me! Hard to tell from the pics, but the angle of the car looks too high, even for stock US height.

Then you must have stolen it! As optioned Kelley Blue Book comes in at $12990. I agree that that seems high but that's what it says. I'm debating whether I should list this in the classifieds under `tow vehicles' (racing)

The plan is to adjust it down some (though not as low as Ruby). I want to put silver center caps with colored Porsche Crests on the Fuchs to help break up the black a little. What do you guys think?

The silver caps will look good. Looking at my post, it seems the front sits especially high, I wasn't clear. You want to look at the torsion bar bushings when you do that. Unless theyve been replaced, rest assured they are shot.
