It dipped into the 50s at night last week. Thank goodness I have heated seats.

We just celebrated Australia Day (26 Jan) and had a scorcher 37C (98+F) in Sydney and over 42C (107+F) out here in the western surburbs.

The news reports said there were 1/2 a million people at the city beaches.

They also said it hit 49.5C (121+F) in Coober Pedy in South Australia, that is HOT.

I'll take the cold over that kind of heat any time. Lived most of my first 35 yrs. in Fla., family keeps wanting me to move back. NFW!

Another 15 or so inches on top of 30 + on the ground yesterday.
993 is trapped in garage until April

The Boxster S with all season tires goes amazingly well in the snow.

17" accumulation on Wednesday and Thursday, on top of what was already there, and snowing lightly now. That was a bit deep even for my US-ride-height C2S, so she didn't go out to play until today. Roads are partially cleared but I had no trouble at all. Of course, it helps to have just replaced the old, worn snow tires.

I took the blue beast out for some exercise on Tuesday. Left town wed AM. There were 6" on the ground. I'll be back in the afternoon tomorrow and there is 15" in the driveway and lord knows how much piled up from the snow plows. Gonna be a fun afternoon.

Low 60's here today, drove the 993 over to Mike (Arena993) house and e3photo and I watched him wash the Rivi Blue cab. He tried to get Little Fart to wash it but no dice. I was driving w/ both windows down and the sunroof open....

Not to rub it in but.........

I won't even say how specatcular our drive was up Hwy 1 today, from Pismo Beach to Half Moon Bay. Stops at Hearst Castle, a beach full of Elephant Seals and lunch at Big Sur. Well, we did hit heavy drizzle in Santa Cruz. I've got lots of pics, but don't have resizing software on my work computer. It is forecast for rain tomorrow, so we'll stay indoors at the Ritz, with a venture out for lunch.

Taken on Wednesday. My new Tiguan! There is a GTI under there! One nights worth of snow in NW Arkansas.
