Just wanted to publically thank Alf (alpinadvl) for being a great forum member. He listed a set of guage trim rings for sale a month or so ago, specifically saying he would ship only in conusa. I replied saying I would buy them if he would ship to canada. Not only did he ship them to me in canada however he told me they were free (including shipping costs)!! Wow!! What a nice thing to do!

Derek-- Agreed, Alf's definitely good people. We talked today & I was reminded of the generosity of RLers like him.

Unfortunately, I now have to call instead of seeing him here on RL, like the good ol' days. He's only posted regarding 2 subjects since August: the for sale one you mention & another to announce his RUF was stolen.
He since informed me it was a total loss ... never found or resolved

On a brighter note, he still has his 993 & things are going very well with other opportunities (that's why he doesn't have as much time for RL). Happier days ahead.

In the meantime: Show us your new aluminum rings installed!

I won't be installing the trim rings until the spring as the car is covered in the garage until then!
I'll definately post some pics when I do however!
