My wife has an '07 Mini S. Loaded it was 35K plus tax and license. Nice car, but I'll still take the daughteer's BMW 328I.

Was recently looking for a DD and had the A3, A4 Avant or GTI at the top of my list. Spent some time on the VW/Audi forums and started seeing quite a few issues with the Direct Injection motors, especially the 2.0. Apparently, since there is no fuel going in the intake tract to clean the intake valves they are building up carbon, quite dramatically, in some cases in as little as 30-40k miles. Also, for some reason the VW version of the 2.0 turbo was smoother than the Audi version, not sure why.

I could never get rid of my Ridgeline.....one of the most comfortable vehicles I've ever had. Besides, I don't fit in econoboxes.

Depends on the econobox. I'm 6'3" 225. Never had enough leg room in my '03 Corolla, but I have plenty of space in my MK5 Jetta. Seat isn't even all the way back. Most of my German cars have had more space than my Japanese cars. The e-brake handle on the current Civic bangs on the tendon behind my right knee (fail). Last-gen Impreza was too small. Legacy was better.

We'll see how the Ridgeline love lasts if we get $5 gas this summer...

My mileage reimbursement just gets higher too. It ain't all about sheer legroom, it is adjacent consoles and an imdividual's physiology.
