And so the winter fun begins. Lift is in and turbo kit is ordered. Picked up a turbo S tail from TheotherEric. That and the front RS spoilers will go out for paint at the end. Got the lightweight flywheel kit, 996 turbo pressure plate and RS engine mounts from FD motorsports. Since the engine is coming out, going to replace plugs, distributor caps and rotors, gaskets, fuel filter. Also upgrading fuel pump & fuel injectors. Hope to get that all done before the Protomotive kit comes. The kit is similar to the one TheotherEric installed. No cats with one center muffler. Plan on posting lots of photos along the way. Should be quite a fun & challenging project...

that's the EXACT mid rise I plan on getting. Looks like it works well-lifting arms get to the pick up points easily?

any comments about that specific model would be comforting, and reassuring.

Ordered it from Greg Smith on Monday had it by Fri. Not bad for a 1100lb package. The lift is great. Was impressed by the Chinese quality. Welds are top notch. Installed the unit by myself, just add hydraulic fluid. The swing arms are very adjustable - no issues with aligning them under the car. Only needed one 2x10 on each side for the car to clear the lift. When I build my next house going to inset the lift in the garage floor.

I made the recess in the slab for it, when I did the shed addition this summer. It's the last piece needed...besides additional wall art that is.

Got the motor out and the tranny removed. Wasnt to difficult. I really enjoyed taking the thing apart. Only real pain was getting the transmission to clear the lift support. I believe I read past posts that mention cutting out the piece of steel at the end of the lift. Going to have to do something clever when it comes time to put the stuff back in. Now the maintenance\upgrade projects begin before the turbo kit gets here.

1. plugs & wires (I bought the bosch wire set from Amazon. So I will post photos of swapping hardware from the old set of wires to the new set)
2. new distributor caps & rotors
2. LWF flywheel & 996 turbo clutch kit
3. Higher low Fuel pump & filter
4. Higher flow injectors
5. ISV valve clean
6. RS motor mounts
7. New M030 front & rear sway bars, plus M030 front drop links
8. New valve cover gaskets

When thats all done hopefully the turbo kit will be on its way.

What a fun project! One piece of advice on the plug wires, if I may. From what I've read above it sounds like you'll be changing the wires but reusing the leads. In my experience with these cars (2 964s and a 993), the leads are even more likely to fail than the wires. Not to mention that you run the chance of leaving the wire ends in the leads while removing them. So I would just order a set of leads + wires instead. Just my ¢2.
