Is burgundy a bad color?

I wouldn't be too concerned about resale value. When you take a hard look at what's been happening to the used car market in general, especially the upper end sports cars, Porsche 993's have done extremely well in holding their value, especially compared to their 996 and 997 bretheren. Color, like body styles, is a subjective thing, very much akin to what makes us guys attracted to certain women. Buy what you like, not what you think the next owner will like.

I think the 993 TT in Arena Red on all those ads in the mid 90's is what made me fall in love with Porsche's.
That being said i would never get a red or burgundy car.
If it were for me i would not choose that colour. Just personal preference.

Even army green / olive drab has admirers, when put on a 993.
For pictures of that & MUCH more, check out the always-entertaining & always evolving "Laugh or cry: puke green & other oddities PHOTO THREAD"
I love this one.
Maybe they're checking out Marcus B's matte-finish carbon fiber interior?
A nod to the olive drab Turbo on this thread's first page...

This is turning into a "color thread". (I love color threads!)
May I just say that I love my AR (again) but now I am considering a re-do...I like the "flat-olive/drab" alot! Someone said earlier, there is a girl for everyone. I must agree.
