Question Carrera Side Decal's

Hey guys, i was looking to get some "Carrera" side decals like these seen here

http://www.porschestripes.com/carrera.html
Either 002 or 006, either one in white

or

http://www.suncoastparts.com/product//ROCKERDECAL.html
Again in white, although they were meant for a boxer, i like the typography of it, Classic Porsche

Just wondering if you guys know of any cheaper options, or opinions of different colors, or if i should even add them to my car.

There is a guy on Pelican that I believe is much cheaper than the suppliers above. I had a set of his on my old rig and they were great quality. Got to hand pick color etc.

I vote for a Classic "Porsche" in a different shade of red. Something different and subtle.

imho, side decals look okay on certain early 911s and 964s, but not on 993s or 997s. Looks kind of 'cheap' on later cars for some reason.

That seems like a good idea, kinda rewards people who look carefully enough, or mabye like a Flat Red, and than it would stand out more but still not stand out? haha lol a bit confusing

Only if you're going for the two tone retro look are the side decals appropriate IMHO.

What about a lowered 993 with rims that give the car a more aggressive hunkered down look (like the 997 above). I think black Carrera side markers would look pretty good on a white car. Certainly doesn't detract on Brendan's silver 993. I'm deferring judgement though until I find my dream rims.

Default Side Decals

I had this design made up for me from ManaGrafix and just pasted it on the side of my white 996 using ppt. I have the decals sitting waiting for spring and haven't decided if I am going to apply them. What do you think??

Default Side Decals redux

Ha! Just to save bandwidth, it is a lowered 993 (M030 and Bilstein HDs), not a 996 (as everyone can see).

+ RS engine mounts, RS Short Shift and new hood/engine compartment struts thanks to Alex.

993Brendan has the best graphics against the silver. Not sure why, if its just because silver works, or the his graphics are right look, shape, size. Maybe its the total package of silver, graphics, wheels..Anyway, I love that car as you can tell.

I haven't seen another combo that works yet, although I would like to.

Right again! I was going to say, it doesn't work from SC and up. By the same token, I'm not a fan of the whole ducktail thing, either. Love the 2.7RS and would love to have a nice replica, but let's leave it there where it belongs...
