Default RS motor mount hardware

image taken from P-Car.com DIY.

http://p-car.com/diy/motormount/

What is so special about the washer shown as part #15 999.025.074.02 Washer (qty 4).

List price = $12.06
Sunset price = $7.21

That seems pricey for what looks like a flat washer.
Is it hardened, or is it a bushing or????

thanks

Craig

+1. Very thick. Go with the Porsche washers.

They also have a slight concave shape to them that makes them fit over the bushing better. When it comes to genuine parts in important areas on my car I don't screw around with stuff like that, the extra cost is worth the peace of mind in my book.

yes, one of them has a curve to it... he was asking about the smaller, thick, way overpriced flat washer that sits on the outside of those larger washers. (#15 in PET diagram above)

Like everybody else has stated, it's pricey but necessary. For what it's worth, I paid $7.27 ea three years ago from Sunset. List was $12.15. So not all Pcar parts have gone up in price. You are getting a bargain.

Ahh, my bad (rennlisting in between work!), that washer is pretty plain, no real argument there, but it does have the pressure of the entire engine on it.

Anyone know what the dimensions are of PN #15. I bought #13 from the dealer but I'm certain I can get better grade washers and bolts that aren't just Zinc coated from McMaster

I just bought my motor mounts from Gert. The washer is 1 1/8 inches. Here are some pictures of the instruction and parts that came with my kit. Hope this help.

I didn't get the small bolt with my kit. Gert's instructions say to reuse the ones from the OEM mounts.
