Probably more to do with being "out of round" than age. Can happen. Not unheard off. That's why you do dynamic road force balancing. To catch stuff like this.

Same here. I had another set of four Michelin tires that the installer said were too far out of round to balance. They had them on a road force machine. TR took them back and sent me another set.

Despite the fact that is may take a few calls and take a little time, TR has always come through and taken care of any problems. I will buy from them again.
