You can tell when they are interested in cars, or anything mechanical, when they totally maintain the family vehicle and they're only in their early teens.

It has been three and a half years since I started this thread. I think we're on track . A couple weeks ago we were leading some parade laps and my son was very excited that we were winning. "We're even leading the Michael Schumacher Ferrari!" [yes, he knows most of the Cars movie dialog]

I just read back through this thread, and saw that I posted in Sept 2011. The grandson in my avatar picture is now 14, and finishing his second year at Cal State (no, its not a typo). Time flies and they grow up so fast!
