Question for ducktail owners
I've decided to get a ducktail and would like the opinions of those of you who have done this . I've seen them from MA Shaw, GT Racing, and Rennspeed. They all cost about the same and I wonder if any are better finished than the others. I assume they will all look good on the top (with a little work), but I also want to know how they are finished underneath; I don't want it to look crap when the deck lid is open. I would also like to know if any of you guys did this yourself, as that is what I am planning to do. Thanks,

Mine is from Getty Design: http://www.gettydesign.com/Catalog/2...Retail_Web.pdf
Overall I'm pleased with the fit and finish and would buy again from them. Had to do the usual fitting and finishing. Did everything from fitting to painting. Sorry, can't give you a comparison between manufacturer's, so few around to compare on cars. There have been previous group buys so you might search for those threads and possible feeeback. I have heard of difficulties with fiberglass aftermarket products so based on my experience, Getty has a decent product and fair price.

I went with Getty Design as well. Did the fitment myself and had a bodyshop finish and paint it. I like the product. I was told Getty makes the ones for MA Shaw but I don't know that for sure. Scott "Cahrera" had some issues with his Rennspeed one, so I went with Getty. I think the underside looks pretty good.

Hey Bob,
I had the Rennspeed Ducktail because at the time it was the only one out there. It needed alot of work. I would definitely go with either the Getty Design or MA Shaw. I believe Getty provides for MA Shaw. MA Shaw is a Rennlist Sponsor so you might get a Rennlist discount.

Vendors...
I bought a 993 GT2 front splitter from Rennspeed. The quality was just fine. The fit could have been a little better...
Getty Design makes good stuff...my GT2 rear deck is from them.
Most of the insides of the decks are less than concurs quality...who is going to see them anyway.

thanks for the responses and thanks for the pic of the inside Fister. I'm not looking for concurs quality, I just don't want to be embarrassed when I put the lid up. My RS wing (from an unknown source) looked terrible (thru the grille) and I ended up making an aluminum liner to cover it.

No. My plan is to fill the basket handle holes and repaint that decklid, then I will have 2 "looks" that I can switch between. I've had this car for about 10 years so I need to keep our relationship interesting. I'm thinking about the updated Fuchs with the ducktail......

Alton was planning to produce an 18", and I think there was one set made, but not sure if Zuffenhaus plans to follow through.
I think the proportions of the 19s, Izzios, and all others except Lindsey are wrong. IMO...
