Monterey 2010 photo thread: Pebble, Laguna, Legends, Quail, etc. ...918 Spyder!

What an incredible day, & Monday isn't even an official day of events for Monterey's car week! I've had more margaritas (thanks, Pauly993
) than hours of sleep for this long day that started in CO. Still, couldn't go to bed without something to acknowledge the wonderful RLers that have already made a perfect start. All 'culprits' please pipe in & post pix.
First duty was to wake Speedy from her two-month slumber, under the care of a generous RLer
[after winning hardware at Jun's Dana Point Concours, & then a San Francisco visit (see eShaun's thread and AlpinaDVL's thread) she stayed in CA to limit distractions from my night school studies home in CO]

While he & I wrenched on Speedy & performing some minor mods, Porschemeister talked me into a special ANDIAL fuel filler lid lightweight modification. 
... Apparently results in removing the tension cable that opens the lid. When I pointed out fossil fuels are still handy for this cars, we soon found ourselves at the helpful Porsche dealer, to get the gas flap back open.
Best part was the service rep who had a copy of one of the 2 mags that ran features on Speedy. He made a big show of standing next to the 993, & paging through the article. Had to be there ... hilarious. Freak chance / small world story that the very car in his magzine would stop by.

I believe Mr. S. was the original owner of the TTS, but now all of these cars are in the appreciative hands of RLers!
Paul - Really nice of you to host the BBQ last night. Great start to what surely will be a memorable week in Monterey.
Jäger - Was great meeting you and Speedy in-person! I think you got all the shots covered from the paulyplatsz... It was great hanging out today in Monterey too, and I'm looking forward to the Legends of the Autobahn on Friday.
Jäger and I got a preview of the 918 today... : ) Also learned that it will be on display at Pebble Beach on Sunday for all to see.

Couldn't you have warned me that this thread contained car ****? OMG That 918 has started my lusting all over again. Now: how to live long enough to be able to afford one. Great shots. Regards to Speedy!
