Beautiful 959 at Local Dealership

I stopped into our local dealership after our Saturday morning coffee gathering with local exotic cars and their owners to see what was interesting on the showroom floor. Much to my surprise this was sitting there unfortunately gleaming under the fluorescent lights.

It's interesting to note how many of the detail features remained in the various production models our 993s.

Only 3000 miles with a detailed break down sheet of what is included for the asking price of a mere $759k. This car really must be seen and appreciated in person, however I took a few photographs for the list.

Awesome. Where is that? I might have a look when I'm down that way in 3 weeks.

Sure is sweet-right color too. That Boxster Spyder looks down right femanine next to the 959.

Boy, I would have to agree...

Must be resulting from Bill Gates cleaning out his garage :)

It's located in Bellevue.

I would rather have a 959 than a Carrera GT. At least I could WORK on a 959! They are beautiful cars. I was fortunate enough to have been shopping at the factory back in 1986 and got to see about 10% of their entire 959 production while visiting their race shop in Werk I. I always liked how the 959 carried over certain classic 911 features (rear tail lights, windshield and cockpit, doors, rear window...) and yet put enough into them to make them a very special super car. Here's one that I got to borrow for a day in Germany....

Or Paul Allen... I thought both had a 959.

Thats crazy money, in the Uk that would be £250K ish, well under $500K anyway

Great pics. I never noticed how creased looking the rear body panels were until now.

It went DOWN! They started @ $780! It's also been modified quite a bit. Really the market on 959's in the $400 range.

I do have to get in there & see it for my self, I've only seen "Bill's" car, & the interior is very 80's.

There are a couple for sale in the 200-300 range if you know the right people.

Would u please introduce me to those people? I've got an extra $200K laying around if I could get a 959 for it!

Sorry but I just don't get it. Why so much for a 959? Is it just a rarity thing or is there really something unobtainium under the sheet metal and plastic. IMHO the design isn't going to win any beauty contests.
