New Tires - Advan AD08

Good smooth, quite rubber, very sticky. Not as smooth or quiet as new Pilot Sports, but way, way more grip. Great in the rain, and so far in the colder weather (around 40).
I have won every Auto-X this year with them, & have been beating GT3's & 2011 Turbo's. Almost set top time of the morning a couple of times.
Wear seems to be going well, they still look almost new, they have not changed characteristics since new.
Downside, they ride harsher then PS2's, & my MPG went down about 10%. I started to over inflate them a bit for the street.
This is hands down the best street tire I have every had, & I will not put anything else on the car for quite some time. It's also nice that they have the proper sizing for our 993's, quite a few other good tires out there to not.

So not much more to add as my car has been offline for upgrades for nearly 4 months now except that the above post is a great description. Very very sticky, much better wear than the AD07's. I love them.

If you like these you should try the new Bridgestone RE11.
It beat the Yoko 08s in customer surveys on tirerack (rated 1 st vs 08s 3rd). Most who have owned the 07 and tried the RE11 have really loved them. I have the PS2 before them and they are better wet and dry although they are heavier - but they are much cheaper. Porsche use the Race spec oe here as a control tyre for local Porsche racing...

Yeah so not much to say here other than after 4 sets of Yokohama AD07's over the last few years, I'm excited to try the new AD08's which went on yesterday. I absolutley loved the AD07's so (hands down my favorite tire of all time) so expectations are high for the 08's which I understand are significantly better yet! Man they are meaty Do I care that the aren't Porsche "N" rated..obviously not.
I have no doubt they will live up to their reputation as the fastest street tire (non R-Compound) out there.
Flame on.

Yokohama
WTF?
WB sizes are on nationwide backorder for at least 6 - 8 weeks
Does this have something to do with tsunami affected production or ?
Sigh, i guess i'll have to buy another set of Korean tires instead.

Nothing wrong with Hankook RS-3 or Dunlop Direzza StarSpec as an alternative if Yokos are not available. Although, from my limited experience, AD08 is a _very_ good tire (of not for price it would be _great_ tire). Which, again, from limited experience, I can't say about RE11.
