Default Parking Light Improvement

I, as have many others, hated the parking light and the yellow tones. This became increasingly true after the HID upgrade. I found a guy on fleabay who sells an LED that more closely mimics the color of the headlights. I know, I know. My fogs still have to be dealt with. I enclose pics of before and after. Ansell Adams of the auto world, I am not but I think you'll see the difference. As for functionality, I haven't had the car out at night since I did this. old, then new.

Looking great. You have details on where to get them?

Yes details please. On the fogs why not go the opposite direction and make them yellow? That's what I did and I don't regret it.

Timely post. I just ordered Sylvania H3 ST Silverstar 4000K (Amazon (2) for $42 & free shipping) for the fog lamps and am looking for a parking lamp solution. I assume I have the stock bulb, a 64113 14W OSRAM bulb. And these replace that bulb? Thanks!

Also used superbrights LEDs for the front position lamps---BA9s-CWHP6 $4.95 ea + S&H . Colors ordered were cool white. Also changed out the interior lamps, front and rear underhood lamps---4410-CW9 $4.74 ea Also License plate illumination---3610-CW4 $2.84 ea

inexpensive mods for sure, comparatively speaking of course

Timely post, I just installed the ebay parking light LED's. They were something like $9 shipped. Awesome upgrade -- they match the HID's perfectly. A no-brainer.

With shipping, the two bulbs were less than $10. One of the easiest mods ever. Literally, I followed the DIY for access to the entire unit, twisted out the stock bulb and twisted in the replacement. I believe it is described as a 5 LED bulb. http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/warden_jp2002/ was my source. This is not my brother from another mother etc; no connection to seller, but for $9.30, for once in a long time, I got my money's worth.

2many, that is an interesting approach. More details and perhaps a pic please of the yellow conversion next to the whiter bulb?

SKM, this is a replacement for the T4W bulb BA9S bulb. Not sure what you said is the same thing. Look at this guy (or superbright) and see what you think. The parking light bulb is a tiny little thing I don't think LEDs are measured the same way as H3s but what the hell do I know.

Thanks Tjangi. No matter what I do, what you did to the guts of your beast makes it all seem like snot

Bart & Jim, I initially tried to find my solution on superbright as I have purchased many bulbs from them for my previous 2 wheeled toy, but I was trying to search based on info I got from another post and could not line the two things up. These bulbs came from HK and although I waited a bit, it gave me time to finish my caliper painting and re torque my wheels. Jim, I'm going to do what you suggested to bring all lights up to the same standard. Thanks for the numbers.
Noah, isn't it great when you actually get what you expect?

Is it just me...I can't seem to match up the various bulbs with the correct part number and site - which were the ones that you bought for the parking light (part number and site). I looked at the superbright site and the ebay site but the ID's above don't seem to jive.

Steven, that is just the situation I referenced in my last post: numbers not jibing from various sites and too much time in researching without a clear answer to my questions. So I wrote to the seller and he assured me this was the solution with a money back guarantee. He was 100% correct

Steven, you're correct--it is a pain for the position LED on superbright: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...Fba9s-xhp6.htm

May help to use the search feature at the top of their home page....

Mr. Hombre,
Interesting - your results look great. Is this the correct item: Ebay?
