Default Does this seem like a good idea?

Some people just kill me. The PO left me with this gem.

Apparently, he lost the little metal clip that holds the light bulb, so.........he held it in place with this.

SCOTCH TAPE! And lots of it.

Seriously, it took me all of 3 minutes to bend this paper clip. What's wrong with people?

Just add to the list of stuff I need from Sunset Imports.

There is an upgrade to this part that cost me less than a sawbuck for both sides and that reinforces the fit for the bulb. I found out about it somewhere here (do a search). It basically is a clip that changes the compression points of the spring, especially for those of us where the one pivot point (as is clear also in your pic) pulls away from the unit. Glad is was not worse!

Makes you wonder what other gems he left. Agree with Dave duct tape would have been a more secure method. People always amaze me.

LOL...well, at least it wasn't the dried up bubble gum that I found that was holding my door tweeter in place. Mint flavor too.

Sad part is are you sue the PO did it, & not some hack shop? I'm surprised the tape didn't melt.

The roll of tape probably costs more than the Porsche upgrade kit.
