So what does this mean for the company? Is Gemballa USA still in operation?

Default Gemballa

Dear all,

Im a new user here - I have been a long time Porsche lover and I am a regular member of a German Porsche Forum and I registered here because Im shocked what kind of disrespectful speculation one can find here.

But lets start slowly:
To answer TYNUSKT question about Gemballa USA - I contacted them a few days ago - no answer.

To the Gemballa issue itself - Its a discgrace how some people with really no facts at all, make up such fake statements about someone they dont even know. Lets stay with some harder facts please- here is one article - only a few days old:
http://www.bild.de/BILD/auto/2010/05...erbrechen.html

It mentions: "Die Polizei ist sich sicher das er einem Verbrechen zum Opfer gefalllen ist" - so use your translation skills and you will understand what it means.

Some more articles:
http://www.stuttgarter-nachrichten.d...12.html?page=1

And the main argument against your stupid speculations that he fled voluntary:
http://www.stuttgarter-nachrichten.d...8330ab097.html

So - here my question guys:
1) Why should somebody put 4 milion € cash into a new company if he plans to leave the country anyway?
2) His wife was forced to start the normal liquidation procedure - any company in Germany in debt after some time is obliged to start this procedure..if his wife didnt do it, she would commit a "crime"
3) Remember the number of kidnappings, killings taking place in South Africa - this is not Rodeo drive in Beverly Hills..

One more thing, yes some Gemballas were over the top..but the 993 turbo from the 90,s; the Gemballa GT 996 600 (Lap record at the Nürburgring at the time) were probably the last real Porsches, the Mirage too.

Why?
What I like about his cars they were built to be extreme and basic - no electric bull**** - just like the Porsche from the 70,80,90s - and people who want to have 20 electronic gismos wouldnt buy his cars anyway. The sad story is that even Porsche has become too mainstream to please some stupid accountant or marketing guys. Exception are maybe GT3, GT2, GT2RS.

I still hope the best for him and I feel sorry for his employees/mechanics, his family and his friends.

I hope my sources have helped to clarify a few things.

PS: The new Gemballa company is stil in business - contact me for details
@ forgedwheeler: There is still some hope..PM me for details..

Do you have any connection to the user "forgedwheeler" who posted earlier in this thread. Would just like to know who you are and why you are resurrecting a 2 month old thread.

Sounds like a plug for the new Gemballa company that's still in business...

Is this a modern version of "Where's Waldo" but renamed "Where's Uwe"?

Hi Guys,

No, I dont know the user Forgedwheeler..and neither am I trying to sell here anything for anybody.

All, I wanted to mention is that some of you were writing things they have/or cannot have any clue about..the German police knows certainly more than we do..so again - before you jump to any conclusions read the facts first.

Lets discuss about our nice cars..

Andreas,

Not to jump into the mix here (as I have no dog in this fight), but I get the notion you misunderstood the text a.928 used above because of the way you slightly modified his text parsing (the location of the line break). Please forgive me if I'm wrong...

The web expression "@forgedwheeler" in a.928's post doesn't mean to imply that he has an email like "a.928@forgedwheeler.com" or some similar address. The "@" symbol when used this way doesn't mean "at" it means "attention."

He is speaking directly to forgedwheeler on that last line...

I will grant that the whole situation (and this thread history) is a seems little fishy.
