Default Adding adding an ignition keyway dash illumination

Dear Rennlisters,
My wife finds it dificult to see the ignition keyway in the car.
We had this same problem with our previous 930 where I added a light to the dash to resolve this issue.
Our present car is a 993. I wish to add the same small light to illuminate the keyway.
On the 993 there is a nice feature that keeps the two interior dome lights on while entering the car. Fo this reason I wish to tap into this circuit and add a LED or incandecent bulb to light the keyway.

Does anyone have some insights into where to tap into the hot wire for the delay circuit without having to run a wire all the way from the dome light assembly?

Any help provided is greatly appreciated.

Andy :-)

Just don't read this thread:

I'll see if I can find the DIY for keyhole illumination.
