Hello,
First of all I want to thank Bill and Tony in Phoenix who did a Rennfax for me before I got the car inspected. It was really nice of them to take the time on a Sunday afternoon to go check the car out for me.:bowdown: It is a 1995 in aventurine green with a tan interior with 48k miles and 2 owners. The last owner had the car for the last 11 years. Paint is not perfect but for a 15 year old car it is still in good shape. Car had very limited options aside from the LSD but many performance mods: PSS9, corner balanced, RS tie rods, M030 sway bars, performance chip, RSR exhaust, steering rack bracket upgrade, etc. Owner also added 18 inch sport design wheels and replaced the 2 front seats with 964 turbo ones. Car handled very well during our 11 hour "test drive" back to California at triple digit speeds  Definitely more raw than the Boxster S it is replacing, but still manageable for a daily driver. I need to get the Steering pump drive oil seal fixed as the PPI revealed it was leaking, any DIY instructions available? I also need a new set of tires as the rears are shot and the fronts are too old anyway. Anybody doing some maintenance work on a 993 in the SF Bay Area in the near future? I did all my maintenance on the Boxster and would like to learn on the 993 soon too. Here are some pics that I shared last week when I asked for the Rennfax. |
No pics are showing up, but congrats on your new purchase!

Thanks, it is fixed now !!!

CONGRATS!!! Sweet car! Looks like the seats have been recovered? I've never seen different colored piping on stock seats. I like it! There's a ton of info on here and at:
http://www.pcarworkshop.com/index.ph...1994_-_1998%29 and http://p-car.com/diy/diy.html Dive in and enjoy! |
I have browsed those sites extensively, including Adrian's book. I was just wondering if it was a common issue and if there was a specific write up for it.
Seats came off a 964 Turbo from what the owner told me, I still need to get the original seats back and will probably put them for sale. |
Great color combo and I like the seats!
|
Oh yea, it's got the early sport seats, very nice. I really like the color combo.
|
Very nice, congrats!

Welcome and congratulations. I think that is probably the most beautiful color that porsche made. You have great taste.:D
Cheers, Emerald |
Looks really nice and I sure don't see any paint issues in the pictures anyway. Have fun with it. My '95 cab is the same color combo.

I am not usually a big fan of anything but black interiors, but your color combo is great. The seats are awesome.
This car needs nothing. Congratulations! |
Thanks guys.
I need to learn how to do the regular maintenance, anybody about to tackle some maintenance jobs in the near future? Also, I need to hardwire the V1 and find a car seat form my son. I have read all the threads about car seats but I am still confused. Previous owner recommended the Britax Monarch but it is discontinued, any suggestion? Thanks. |
Looks like you made out beautifully. Great start on the mods.
Cheers, Bob |
It just took me 15 years to find the right car so I hope I got it right only time will tell !!!
I got to admit it was pretty hard finding a decent car, I have been looking for months. Paint is just OK there are chips, scratches, etc. but I will drive the car everyday so there is no point in getting a garage queen or concours winner. |
awesome, congrats!
