Only the Carrera (c2, c4, c2s, c4s) and Cabrio standard deck wing is articulating. Non of the Turbo cars had articulating spoilers and if someone put a turbo wing on a non turbo car, it's just a stationary wing. No moving spoiler grill section. There were several wing options avail for non turbo cars. It could have been a dealer option or just an aftermarket or simple mod well after the vehicle was sold.

Will be joining the group. Got my duck in a few days ago from Gary Stratton. Dropped it of at the body shop yesterday and the Manager and could not believe the quality. He's been in the business for over 20 years and said this was by far best aftermarket fiberglass part he's ever seen and was highly impressed. He said the fiberglass was vacuumed bagged and epoxied to the deck, not usually the case with fiberglass

I bought an aftermarket grille for my duck from Al Kosmal. He makes a perforated grille. Perhaps he would be willing to ship internationally. You can see pics of it in this thread: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...ew-grille.html

You can reach him at koz@x-faktory.com for details/pricing.

Being in Australia makes it very difficult.

What I'd love to see happen is a 993 ducktail with 993 grill inserts (either the normal grill or split grill). I wonder how much harder it would be to make this work that an older style grill insert?

A few more photos, the paint is off a bit so it's back to body shop in the near future

Default Duck

I got a Sttraton duck a while ago.
It looks great now, but it required a lot of work from my bodyshop guy.
I'm not sure i would spend the extra money again, over cheaper options.

Default Stratton duck

My shop advised it required minimal " work prep" prior to paint. However, as I commented in a much earlier thread, matching GP white was a whole bother story-- never would have guessed it would have taken 20+ mixture samples ( fortunate that my chemist keeps a detailed record from when I had the re spray in 2011) to get it 99% right on the duck.

Funny you should mention the paint, it's going back to paint when i'm on my next work trip as it's off a bit.

I would concur with this statement. Once the shop got started they noticed quite a few issues with the tail and it required quite a bit of work to get right. During this time I had ordered an Al Kosmel grill and he worked with me to get a grill that would fit the opening as the opening was a bit off. A stock on is on right now, had to be slightly trimmed on the edges, but that will be switched out once everything is done.

Ducktail and grill from Rennspeed Motorsport. The shop that installed it said took a fair amount of work to align, and it's not perfect, but I figured that when I ordered it. Really happy with it.
