The Rivi Blue cab is the replacement for "Old Yeller" Here is what the car looked like before I lost it.

First off, I've never seen your old car before and HOLY CRAP, MIKE, THIS CAR WAS GEORGEOUS! The yellow sport seats are the best part! The sad thing about it is not getting to see the two of your cars parked side by side, talk about an eye-popping moment ....
Second off, I totaled my first p-car, one owner sunroof 59 coupe with 50K miles on it. I was 17. It still makes my stomach turn to think of it. Swapped ends on a mountain road in the redwoods and went over the edge airborne, bouncing between trees like a pinball machine. Luckily, I walked away without a scratch. It forced me to learn to drive without lifting my foot. Expensive lesson, and after beating myself up over it for years, I finally realized it was just another lucky moment in my life.

Nice, they found a grateful donor receipient. I know the new owner is enjoying them! My fantasy is Sport Seats in Cashmere Beige with GP white backs but at current prices plus painting and re-upholstery costs, I can only wish....

Thanks for sharing your experience, Arena993. I'm glad you walked away.

I'm not sure what occasioned the rolley-eyes in the other poster's submission; anyone who was in the passenger seat of OP's vehicle would be dead or seriously injured. I guess some folks don't give that a second thought. I'm in vehicle engineering so I think about these things, perhaps a little too much.

I'm not sure any vehicle could reasonably be expected to perform better in a side-on with an immovable pole, but I know that some vehicles have very stiff members in the doors to help prevent the kind of intrusion that occurred here.

I'd actually expect that a 911 performs better than most in the more-common front collision because there is a large engine-free crumple zone in the front.

The general tone of your post prompted the threesome of rolley-eyes to appear.

Certainly not meant to scoff if your question was serious. As it appears to have been.

How's this:

Those seats have stayed in the Rennlist family. I bought them from Mike J in Vancouver, wrecked my car and sold them to Pegasis01 (I think that was his name), Roche bought the car from Pegasis 01 and Roche sold the car to the Lister in AZ. This was all in 2.5 years. I think we all just long-term rent these parts
