C2S vs C4S
Hey guys---I am sure that this has been discussed before but I can't find it when searching. My apologies if it is redundant in any way.
I have been thinking about buying a C4S for a while and have recently come across a (seemingly) nice C2S (black/black, 62K miles, reasonably priced, reasonably local).
My question to you: are there any other equipment differences between the 4S and the 2S outside of thw AWD on the 4S and the Split grill on the 2S?
Responses to the above and any other insight would be most welcome.
THANKS in advance.

The C4S shares the same brakes, chassis and body as the Turbo.
The C2S was a C2 with Turbo hips added. The story goes that the C2S came about because towards the end of the 993 production run, they had some left over Turbo rear quarters.
I believe you could probably add the Big Red Brakes from the C4S to the C2S, and I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than myself will chime in.

Other differences are way more important than the brakes. You can get brakes powder coated or painted red, but you cannot change the handling differences or other condition differences between two used cars.
Drive both and get what you like.

Take a look at Top Gear season 7, episode 5. There is a head to head comparison of the C2 and C4. They are not the S versions, but this may give you additional food for thought. You can download Top Gear on iTunes. But, I am sure you already knew that.

C2's have vaccum assist brake booster, and the C4's (all the AWD really) have the hydraulic assist. This is what the put in the RS cars even though they were 2WD.
Alot of C4S's have the litronic headlights (at least this seems to be my experience), but then again, it was not required.

Not mine, but looks nice and appears to be well priced. I was tempted to go see it but I am really holding out for a C4S.

Where does anyone drive on the street to really tell how the AWD component or difference in brake pad size does/doesn't change the driving experience? (I'll concede the hydraulic assist is better, but my '92 C4 stopped just as well as the C4S.)
Now, if you want to take it to the limits on a track, I go from RSA to 993 C2 to C4S regularly (often on the same day); the brake pad size and AWD components of the above cars are insignificant in the big picture of what makes the car work (or doesn't).
