Default Option code for a C4

Very naïve question: Is there an option code to differentiate a C2 from a C4 ?

Thanks !

339 is All Wheel Drive but I don't know what years it was used.

At first I thought it was in the VIN but that's only NA/Turbo and Coupe/cab.

Thanks !

I asked because I visit a car tomorrow that is supposed to be All Aheel Drive but doesn't have the specific code on the sticker.

Is it possible ? Or is it a C2 ?

Under the bonnet sticker has 993 xxx with xxx being a 3 digit code for the body type (c4, c4s, c2, c2s, turbo, etc)

Then 140 must be the code for a C4S? I wonder where this code info is published? It's not in Adrian's book but the Option code of 339 for AWD is? I wonder what 339 was used on?

Here you go, from Adrian's book:
  • Carrera : 330
  • Carrera S: 340
  • Carrera 4: 130
  • Carrera 4S: 140
  • Carrera Targa: 410
  • Carrera Cabriolet: 630
  • Carrera 4 Cabriolet: 530

There is no mention of a 339 code.

The 339 is in the actual Option Codes in the Appendix B section of the book.

Where was the above info? I looked in the Identification Codes section and didn't see that.

Found it, thank you. It's in the Buyer's Guide section, pg 70.
