I bought my BMW bike from Danny a few months ago. He was very honest and straightforward. He needs to read his ad, it leads you to believe that Porsche makes motorcycles!!!! I know nothing about the car for sale....

The price is a bit steep...very steep.
I guess I better start worrying. There's no oil on my garage floor!!!

whoever wrote that ad should be taken around back and beaten.

Selling car is his business? yikes.

Either way, decent looking car, but nothing to get too excited over.

This is just a very sad example of a C2S! I'd hate to take a closer look at the stereo install job to see what they cut and drilled and the entire front end of the car is peppered in stone chips.

I guess my car is not very common....

no oil on the floor for me.

This ad is just full of WIN...

"...only 62,317 miles on it...its practically Brand New for a Porsche."
-followed by-
"The leather looks beautiful but does show some minor wear as you would expect on a vehicle with 60k miles"

"...hates to see it collecting dust..."

"It does have the very common one or two drops of oil on the garage floor the next morning after being enjoyed the previous day"

"My buddy has...many service receipts"

I find it amusing that about every 993 out there for sale, people attack it. It gives an impression that every 993 out there for sale is a piece of ****.

My 993 leaks oil right now. BFD--the lower gaskets are leaking. It is not a big deal nor is it hurting my car--I just havent gotten around to getting it fixed. If I were to sell it today as is, I would say "Leaking oil and lower gaskets need to be replaced"

Sure, the price may be a little high, rock chips in front (what do you expect for a car with 60k + miles), and it drips a little oil. Its nothing a little rock chip repair kit and gasket (most likely the cause of the leak) replacement cant take care of. Better yet, a PPI will uncover any myth busters.

The guy has a 100% rating on Ebay w/344 transactions taken place--not everyone out there is a sleezy car salesman. I have 198 transactions on Ebay with a 100% rating--would you buy a car from me or is my 993 a piece of **** because it leaks oil and has a few rock chips on the front end? And my 993 is a purchase from Ebay over 7 years ago.

Car might be OK, but that ad makes me want to run away.

Maybe the seller doesn't know better and actually thinks this way, but I'm a big proponent of being upfront and not trying to gloss over problems. Could anyone really think that it's a good thing that their car leaks oil????? Really? I'd be very wary of anything else that came out of their mouth after that statement.

Just disclose that the car has a small oil leak that is common and fairly easy to fix. Even better, just fix the leak.

+1

Always cracks me up when people say a no "stories car" at the age of 13+ years most of these cars have a story! Who cares! Buy it, fix it, drive it! and enjoy!

which this all reminds me: I need to go toss some cat litter on the few drips of oil in my garage, wipe the dust off for sitting for a few weeks, take it out, wash it and beat the **** out of it a little today. Not in a bad way but drive like it should be driven.

But not until I detail my Navigator today---priorities!!

is that a rainbow flag next to the carrera s rear script which happens to be in the wrong place? Besides that car looks like it should for 13 years old. As always ppi is a must.

Probably a perfectly okay car (although, yes, it's priced too high) but agree that the ad copy is pretty bad.

I guess "eBay Motors Certified Internet Sales Manager Training program" didn't teach 'Jason Segev' much about writing ad copy.

The problem is that these eBay dealer/sellers are writing for such a broad audience that it sometimes gets kinda ridiculous.....

OK first of all most of us would be happy if these cars would sell for that kind of money. But they dont. If he does sell his for that much better for him.
And I agree with many of the other post here, there seems to be this "mine is perfect and oh my god look at what a piece of crap everyone else has". I love my car, it has had 2 owners before me, I did not look at the service history when I bought it. I have owned it for 7 years, and have had no issues with it. Yes I was lucky but I could have come up with all kinds of reasons why this too was a piece of crap with no history.
