Why do people say, "No offense" and then proceed to do just that in one sentence?

There's a lister in CT who will be more than happy to do a look-see if it's close by. Also, for a lil more dough, there's a very nice C2S/turbo in CT.

Great price for the car on autotrader. I would give this a close look when consider buying because low mileage can cause issues, too by having the car not moved regularly enough.

Oh, and the OPs car cannot beat mine off the line or even be close because I have Varioram and my car is silver.
(Mark, that is a joke too.)
If you want to sell the car try Car Connections USA in Philadelphia. He will sell your car and get you a 993 so you can save on the taxes. PM me if you want the info.

469 HP and 0-60 in 5.6 sec Not so sure about the "give you 3 car lengths and I'll beat you in the 1/4"

Here's a time slip from a stock 2005 E55. http://www.dragtimes.com/2005-Merced...ecs-10571.html
I have an E63 AMG (N/A motor) which can trap 12.30 @115 stock. 0-60 in 4.1 seconds. These cars are uber fast sedans. "Like having an angry ferret in your pants" (says Jeremy Clarkson ) The P-cars that are any true competition are 997 Turbos. My 993 would need at least 4 car lengths.
Of course, they are heavy autobahn comfort cruisers and not made for tossing into the corners. That's what the 993 is all about

No. 1 rule, always verify your results or in this case, your findings.
For example: check out this Motor Trend's article against the eBay's description.
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...omparison.html
How about a second result? Actually dragstime? 1/4 time with reaction time:
http://www.dragtimes.com/Mercedes-Be...lip-10571.html
Second rule, how about a comparison with similar cars?:
A similar car, like a 2000-2004 BMW E39 with 400HP is capable of doing 0-60MPH in about 4.9 seconds. Why would an E55 with more HP be slower???
0-60MPH about 5.6-second times? A 240HP BMW E36 M3, Audi S4?
How about a 240HP Honda S2000?
How about actual math?
Average speed of 60MPH is about 88ft/per second. If there about 1 second between an E55 and a 993 C2S/C4S, the E55 will be about 88 feet in front of the 993.
How about some actual videos?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYzoeLgkQNo (this is with a slightly faster 996 model)
Again, please do your "research".
Now, class dismissed.
(Sorry other fellow RL members, not trying to be an A-hole, just clarifing the facts).
Not trying to downgrade a 993, just putting up correct information. I really really like the 993 for it's styling and driver involvement, which is why I am looking for one.

Sorry I didn't research the car, I really didn't care, I was just looking at values sold on Ebay for the ones that actually found someone to buy one. (Ebay is not the end all be all though). The person that listed it, put that on the discription.(I thought it was also odd to have that much HP and only a 5.6) I posted that to show what one sold for with roughly your miles, looks like the 09 C63's are also taking a dump on resale...one went for 38000 with low miles.
Bottom line IMHO its a Fuggly family sedan that has a nice engine. Don't be so thin skinned, your the one who bragged about how fast your sedan was on a Porsche forum.
Honestly I wish you luck dumping that POS, you need to be back in a car you love !

Let's play nice. Can't we all get along and wish this original poster good luck on the trade or sale and purchase and move on, instead of denegrating his car and calling the E55 beauty a POS? It's definitly NOT a piece of ****e! This is a piece of ****e. Trust me, I know. I owned one for a few months. The front seat was so messed up I had to sit on telephone books so the springs didn't stick up into my ****
The 50 Worst Cars of All Time
American Motors designer Richard Teague — remember that name — was responsible for some of the coolest cars of the era. The Gremlin wasn't one of them. AMC was profoundly in the weeds at the time, and the Gremlin was the company's attempt to beat Ford and GM to the subcompact punch. To save time and money, Teague's design team basically whacked off the rear of the AMC Hornet with a cleaver. The result was one of the most curiously proportioned cars ever, with a long low snout, long front overhang and a truncated tail, like the tail snapped off a salamander. Cheap and incredibly deprived — with vacuum-operated windshield wipers, no less — the Gremlin was also awful to drive, with a heavy six-cylinder motor and choppy, unhappy handling due to the loss of suspension travel in the back. The Gremlin was quicker than other subcompacts but, alas, that only meant you heard the jeers and laughter that much sooner.
