Default It lives, my Porsche lives again thanks to the Rennlist family.

This is an update to the story I posted a week ago. To recap, my Tiptronic went out. Don't ask me how or why, it just did. The code that popped lead to a pressure sensor that had to be ordered from Germany. 8 days later after this sensor was finally installed it did not work. Because the Tips are so bullet proof, nobody works on them, even here in the car capital of the world (Southern California). Then, throw in the fact that my mechanic was leaving for Germany on Wednesday for two weeks! I posted my problem here on rennlist and 356racing said that if the sensor did not work he had a spare Tip transmission. To make a long story short I ended up running to Phoenix to pick up the transmission on Friday. Delivered it to the mechanic on Monday morning and got the car back in running order this afternoon.

356racing would not accept any payment until the car was running. What a quality individual. I would like to send my personal thank you to 356racing for all of his help. Your are the epitome of what the forum is all about!!!!!

All we could determine was that the problem was mechanical not electronic.

Class act 356racing. Glad it worked out. I wonder what the problem was.
