The Journo & Snapper spent about 4 hours with me on a desolate wind swept road photographing my car - both static and rolling. The photographer is a hero/nutter, dangling from the back of their 'chase car' to get those hard to get shots.
I dont know how many pictures he took - but I've been promised a CD of the good un's !
I'll post them up once I get them.

Reminds me of what I nearly took on:

79SC into full on '74 IROC with 3.6 993 engine.
Then I "got rational"..or gave up ;-)

LA Porsche Dismantlers could probably help you, but they might not have everything, and it sure as hell won't be cheap. You can easily spend $10K+ on the Speedster-specific parts alone.

Al-- Hopefully helpful: Graham's post addressing costs on page 8.

More discussion, diagrams, (& motivating photos ) on the "Speedster type 993 photo thread." For reference:
- Post #41 totals up the new Strosek-style parts that Extreme Motorcars advertises for ~$15k USD.
- Post #117 starts with that list, but prices new OEM Porsche factory parts: >$30k USD.
In general, the above estimates are just for new basic/required parts for a narrow-body Speedster from a 993 cab. Neither includes fabrication & labor costs, wide-body parts, OEM Speedster seats, etc.

Speaking of purchases...
Buy GT Purely Porsche magazine's July 2010 issue #104, currently on their website.

No affiliation, other than wanting to make the world a more beautiful place, one 993 speedster at a time!!!

Awww ... shucks Thanks, Colin.

There's paving, then there's perfecting

Are those flappy paddles on the steering wheel? Pardon if previously discussed in this EPIC thread, but if so, did you get them functionally mated to the Tiptronic?

Yes, the paddles work the tip when it is set in manual mode.

Wheels - wheels - wheels.
Though my standard Turbo Twist wheels have been fully refurbished and look immaculate, I'd always lusted after the Fuchs type wheels, and looked at the Kersher (?) type aftermarket; then Porsche went and released the latest 19" Fuchs as fitted on the Sport Classic.
I tried some other 19" OEM wheels but having seen Jager / Curve Lover's wheels on his GR 993 Speedster there was only one set of rims calling and and tempting me to spend yet more £/$ on my car. After some fettling and tweeks last week over at 9M, I collected my car yesterday morning and went to my local OPC where they had brought in a set of the new Fuchs wheels in for me to try!
Well, they fitted, no modifications, no arch rolling required, and no rub! This is also helped by, at my request, that the car isn't running too low (Euro RS height - there or there about).
So now we have the latest incarnation!

I´m not a big "19inch-Fuchs-rim"-fan but on your Speedy they looks great!
