New member- my first p-car and 993
I have been looking for about five months for the right one. Flipped-flopped between S and narrow bodies but I felt I wouldn't be truly happy unless I selected the widebody, I guess the little extra tweaks to the body is what turned me on. The 993 was my only real love/choice, however I almost got side tracked with a 997 that I test drove, wicked quick but it lacked character. OK, so it was an S then, but what color? I really got enamored with arctic silver and black, but then I saw this white one. My wife was along as we visited Sloan cars in CT. Richard was a great gentlemen and he has a huge selection of 911s. When I first walked in to his warehouse, it was like xanadu for p-cars. My wife and I gravitated towards this glacier white C2S. At the time I couldn't see myself owning a white car, some kind of genetic block, but this one just stood out amongst the group of 993s that surrounded it.
Well after some great deliberation and research gained from the r-listers and aficionados on this board in particular, I decided to pull the trigger.
I am currently trying not to get caught out and slide down the slope, but I already ordered the HID replacements from retro-solutions.
Oh yeah, it has a cashmere interior, ABD, limited slip and techno wheels.

Very very nice story and car. Speaking of the slope, here's a very cheap mod idea - clean corners for the front to replace the dark amber color. I think it makes it look a bit more current, but that's just me.
I LOVE my HID's instead of the stock lights. Good move. I'm sure Tony from Md. will chime in about C2S white cars, as will others who own then.
Congrats.

Oooohhhh She sure is purdy... I could see the clear corners really making a difference on a white car like that. White is one of my most favorite colors. My preferences where Speed Yellow, cobalt blue then White then others... When I finally found my car I ended up with Polar Silver. It was on my acceptable colors list, but I really liked it when under some lighting conditions you look at it and it looks to have a tinge of blue/purple in it. Not regretting it at all.
As for the slope... good luck avoiding it. It sneaks right up on you.

What a beautiful car! This is exactly what I would have gone after (I also would have to have been very lucky obviously to find one) if I hadn't wanted a cab for the 7 month top down season we have here. Congratulations and enjoy it to the max.
Am I right in assuming it's a 6-spd?
