I believe Targas began production after summer break 95 (July?). All 96 or later MY cars though I've noticed cars are sold less by model year and more by registration date in Europe, a system I quite like as it's more specific.

Beautiful car. Beautiful colour. Beautiful scenery.

Thanks all for the friendly welcome here.

My wife enjoys the Targa rides, this years trip was to the French Sea Alps - http://www.vimeo.com/6058286with billions of curves.

The licence plate is not intended to send a signal (specially in US) I did only have a chance to get a *993* but then with double x so I selected it. In Germany noone knows the meaning of SU-XX

Correct. Based on the convertible frame and chassis, about 4.500 pieces have been built until '97.

Stefan, admit it, you signed up here because pff was down. ;-)
I need to make my first post here, too, but I admit I do not have that great a picture of my car.
Cheers, Valerian

Close, but not close enough

I signed up August last year ... but actually, I had the first help to ask for right now.

Good to see more PFF folk hanging around here. With about 100 users online in the 993 forum RL is a great source of experience.

Nice ride.

Hopefully, you are a DIY type. You derive a lot of self satisfaction when you do...

Welcome! Porsche mechanics visit the 993 forum of RL when they do not know the answer to a technical problem.

Yep, I am absolutely. Limitations: Engine, gearbox, painting

All other probs are sorted out and worked off with support from:

rennlist.com
pocg.de (Porsche owners Club of Germany)
elferliste.de
pff-online.de

I love forum community, and met a lotta nice people and their rides through meetings.

Same with my other aircooled device, see photo ...
