Default My 993 is ... sold and shipped

Once I get a login issue resolved so I can add it to the classifieds, you be able to see that I'm selling my 1995 iris blue cabriolet. A couple pics are below.

I bought the car from the original owner, a good friend, in 2001 and it has served me well since. The only mechanical failure of note was in early '02 when the transmission had a problem and I did one of those "while you're in there" repairs. That's when I had short ratio gears done and the RS LWF added. The car got tracked 5 times before I decided I was in love with the track and bought the Turtle as a track only car. I had added RS adjustable sway bars and PSS-9s in '02 when we learned to drive it in autox. The track experience happened in '03 (and I bought the Turtle in '03).

I had the car repainted last year thinking I was going to keep it a few more years and I wanted it to look great, not just good. I recently decided to replace it because my wife will no longer drive it or ride in it due to a really bad back. I found she would ride in a Mercedes SL63 AMG so I bought it and the 993 needs a new home. Full details about all the car's history will be available via a link in the ad. I'm asking $27k. It has ~87,200 miles on it.

It's been mine for some time now, as well (see avatar).

For fun. One of what my baby has been replaced with. It's faster and has all the creature comforts the 993 lacks. I can be lazy and drive full automatic or opt for fun and drive full manual with the paddle shifters. And I don't have to get out the cover and manually attach it when I put the top down. I'm old and lazy.

Nice SL, never noticed they had a diffuser. What about a shot of the front.

Full manual: Yes it has a clutch, just no clutch pedal. They call it a wet clutch for the transmission instead of a torque tube - I don't really care about that it's fun to drive and easy to drive in traffic. I get all the hard-core performance I need from my Turtle. You can set the transmission so you have full control of shifting via the paddle shifters. Otherwise you can set it for 'comfort' (shifting is slower and smoother), 'sport' or 'sport+'. I think they say that sport+ shifting is 50% faster. The car also has 'launch control' if you care to drag race - I've not tried it yet.

On topic - it appears the 993 is sold.
