Found a car I want - lowering my price on my car - just on Rennlist
Hi all -
You know how it goes, once you start looking, it is pretty easy to find a car that you want.....when the test drives begin....you know the rest.
The reality is that my wife will make my life a living hell if I have 2 "fun cars" at once. Also - I only have garage space for one (without kicking her out of the garage - which goes back to my previous comment.
As such, I am lowering my price on my car - on Rennlist - not on Autotrader. If you are in my area and have someone interested in a 993 - I can tell you taht you will be hard pressed to find a nicer one. This car has really been babied, many, many upgrades - over 80K in reciepts. some major items are
Top end @ 55K miles ( car has 62K miles)
full carbon fiber interior
full leather interior (many parts turbo -s only)
M030 suspension
factory aluminum leather wrapped gauges
rear brake cooling ducts (very unusual)
litronics
factory turbo S aero kits - front and back
carbon 3 spoke steering wheel
factory motor sound airbox
Cargraphic exhaust and dual pipes on each side
Aluminum pedeal set
Chrome Turbo 18" wheels (perelli P-Zero's)
Brand new 996 Sport seats with Porsche crests
Aftermarket Kenwood Mask stereo/amp/speaker setup
many other items such as hardwired and stealth V-1 radar detector, custom front grills and rear deck, 3m- clear bra on front portions of the car, schlid liner, carbon fiber strut brace.
Recent service includes new steering rack, new brake pads (no squeels). The car drives like it is new - I have no issues that I have had intermittently with other 993's that I have had (idle issues, door check strap issues, window creaks, brake squeal, CEL, etc). It is really in amazing shape.
I can say that the M030 suspension is so tight that my wife does not like riding in it. I had GT3 seats in there when I bought it - chaging to the sport seats made a world of difference in comfort, but she still does not like it.
New price (on Rennlist) is $45K - not a penny less. I am not changing it on autotrader just yet. If I buy this other car, I will likely lower the price there as well, but to around $47 or so, $45 is bottom dollar for me to part with it.
Like a say, if any of you are in the area and interested or know someone who is - any help is appreciated.
Also - I am staying in the family....next car is also a Porsche, so I will be around. Sadly, not a 993..........
I am going to ping SA mike, who I recently met and who has seen the car....maybe he can give me a little testimonial.....

Sweet ride! I JUST purchased a car and I can suggest that you also post your car on Kijiji. I looked there a lot and found it easier to find the cars I was looking for on their site than others - even than autotrader.
Also, you may want to post to some Canadian sites. I am in Canada and the options for good P-cars is very limited. Eventually, like me, lookers will realize that they have to consider US cars if they want a decent selection to choose from.
Good luck -

You already have one of the ultimate 993's where else is there to go?
One of the only other 911's that would me sell Scarlet would be a 2010 GT3 (sucker for centerlocks), 993 Turbo S, or a super clean low mi C4S with more options then mine.
