OK, that was kinda cool, but I should have made it more challenging, so...
I have a $20 Kincaids, fish, chop & Steakhouse gift card this time. Good through June 25, excluding Father's Day June 21. Kincaid's is located on the Redondo Beach Pier. I am not sure if there are others. so this is primarily for SoCal Locals... CaptainGSR, Gonzilla, DCDude, this is in your neighborhood, but perhaps before your time.

Instead of a race this time, the first poster to tell us who Stan Hanks and the infamous T*d are/were will win. I am not sure if this information is hidden in the archives or not.

I will judge if the answers are sufficient, hey, it is my contest!

In the event that no one gets it right, the most entertianing answer posted by 6/10 12:00 Pacific Time will win.

He's from the Portland area and ran the Porschephiles list. Mostly 356 and 914, I believe.

Thanks, Keith. I love Kincaid's. Let me know where you want to do the handoff.

ahhh, Chuck got the first part, key word being "Porschphiles"...and for the bonus, who was the infamous T*d, aka???see below...

PM me your address (again) and I will put it in the mail today.

History Lesson for everyone, Stan Hanks is the father of Porschephiles, which was the original email list, back in the early 90s. Porsche went on a lawsuit binge and anything that had the name Porsche on it that didn't belong to them was threatened with a lawsuit, so Porschephiles had to cease. John Dunkle picked up the reins and with the donations of the original Lifetime members, Rennlist was born. and T*d, was one of the original blacklisted members, also known as the Village Idiot. There are many stories of his theories about performance enhancements for the 911, including but not limited to different brands and sizes of tires...Anyone recall specific "T*d Tales?"
