Joe,

Can't wait to see it in person. I have to wait till my son is older before getting a lift - worried about him running into it and hurting himself.......

Congratulations! Nice buy, and how easy now to drop your engine.

Can't wait for my new house to put that kind of lift in my garage. The Architect has my instructions to think about it :-)

Way to go buddy!!! I have 12 foot ceilings. As soon as this depression is stabilized a lift is my next investment. Tonight, you ARE the man!!

Very nice indeed. Would also love to see pics of the house. I'd bet she's gorgeous.

Congrats, that is awesome. A big garage with a lift is high on my wish list. I don't think I would ever go in the house.

Yes, and for that leaky power steering rack and G50/21 conversion I want to do.

For those of you with garages over 11 ft, you'll want to choose another lift to take advantage of your extra ceiling height. For those curious about the price, it cost approx $4K just for the lift. You can find cheaper lifts - in fact Rotary is phasing this lift out in favor of their new "Made in China" Revolution series. They're probably fine, though I figure the extra money is well spent for something that suspends 3000 + lbs over my head

Cheers,
Joe

By the way, does anyone have any recommendation re: telescoping drain pans? I don't need one with a fancy pressured tank, but I'd like to get a decent one.

Congrats! I don't have a clue what I did before I got my lift. Best money I have ever spent. ITs paid for itself 10 times over by letting me do my own work on the race car. Makes life VERY easy. I even use it for body work and paint. My back thanks me as well.

Enjoy.

No recomendation on drain pans. I bought a cheap one and regret it. Get a good one. Check Snap on and see what they sell.

After shopping around I bought this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Lisle-11102-Ga...482806&sr=1-19

the jug handle makes it easy to lift into the the car, and the locking mechanism for telescoping the drain pan is really simple but elegant and allows you to quickly adjust the height with one hand.

The only thing this one is missing (and all the others) is a cap for when you take the drain tube out for when you take the oil to the recycling center. I just get some plastic wrap and rubber bands as the oil may slosh around when transporting.
