After three years with my ’98 993 C2S, I made a trade up to a 996 C2. It’s an ultra-low mileage ’99, one of the best years for this car, they tell me – the engine is just barely broken in. I found this dream car at some place in Houston called Victory Motorcars – has anybody heard of them here? The deal was great, too. I only had to give $5,000 with the trade. (I tried to get them down to $4950, but they reminded me that I DID trade in an older vehicle.) Based on what the salesperson said about the car, I didn’t even bother with a PPI – why waste the money, I thought. He said that in Louisiana (where the car came from), people drink a lot of Big Gulps while driving and tend to spill them – that explains those water marks halfway up the doors I saw in the pictures.
Best of all, the salesperson’s half-sister offered to drive it to Atlanta from Houston for me for only $750, plus gas. She’ll get here in two-three weeks. Can’t wait!!!!
Because we are jealous. That's the car we all wish we have.... stylish, elegant, holds its value like gold and have you seen the interior? it's simply awsome how much plastic can fade in such short amount of time. Not to mention when the rear main seal goes, you have yourself an instant oil-cooled car, just like the 993.
